Al Qaeda’s Rising Star – Anwar al-Awlaki

The hunt continues to eradicate enemies of the free-world before they eradicate our sisters, brothers, parents, cousins and friends.

Of all news sources out there, GQ of all things, had an insightful article on Anwar al-Awlaki.  The United States attempted to take him out, only days after the bin-Laden raid.

Awlaki was born about an hour and a half north of El Paso in the run-down New Mexico metropolis of Las Cruces on May 22nd, 1971.  He attended Colorado State University  in Fort Collins serving as President of the Muslim Student Union and graduating in 1991 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering.   While at Colorado State he took a trip to Afghanistan and married a Yemeni cousin in 1994.  He also earned a masters in educational leadership at San Diego State.  He served as Imam of the Masjid Ar-Ribat al-Islami mosque at the edge of San Diego, California, from 1996–2000.  Though married to his cousin and hesitant to shake women’s hands, he was allegedly arrested twice for soliciting prostitutes in Colorado and was later known to use prostitutes around the Washington D.C area.

While in San Diego he served as the “spiritual advisor” for two of the September 11th hijackers (Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar).

Following the 9-11 attacks, he led a prayer on the steps of the capitol and was interviewed by PBS.  In August 2010, the ACLU agreed to represent Awlaki’s father who sued the United States government for trying to kill his terrorist son.  Doesn’t surprise me at all that the ACLU would represent those trying to keep terrorists alive – shows you where their priorities are!  This is the father who has bragged bragged about his son’s fame as a terrorist.

Following the Fort Hood shootings, he dined with the Army’s Office of Government Council at the Pentagon following the Fort Hood shootings in an outreach attempt to “moderate Muslims”.  Nuts!

Some in the Obama regime still believe that we should try terrorists in downtown New York City and shut down Guantanamo Bay like Obama promised.

Nuts, change can’t come soon enough!
