Read an article in the Kansas City Star reporting on what is going on in Egypt as events remain desperate. If I only had $170 in my pocket and couldn’t withdraw any money from an ATM, electricity went out and the stores ran out of food and water, things would be preety desperate if I hadn’t prepared.
Don’t even think this stuff hasn’t happened in America if inflation kicks in and basic services start breaking down. Imagine what would happen if the cost of oil went up $50 a barrel – the price of everything would instantaneously increase. Imagine what could happen if inflation starts kicking in. Streets filled with roaming gangs looting and killing evoke images from the Rodney King riots in LA in the early 1990s or the Hurricane Katrina fiasco in 2004.
