Competence in Colombia / Incompetence in America

Saw a great opinion piece by Mary Anastasia O’Grady  in today’s Wall Street Journal.

I agree with her, in that it’s great to see and hear of another success in the US advisement efforts around the world.  Over the past ten years, the Colombian military has transformed itself into a wonderful success story against the narco-terrorist conflict south of our border.

Yet, some American politicians still commit themselves to protecting the interests of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and are unwilling to realize and capitalize on such success.  It amazes me, that in the United States of America, where we have all the freedoms and access to information that any people could ever hope for, we still choose to elect to office a monumental clown – Nancy Pelosi.

Someone said something that makes perfect sense:

“As the American people living in the world’s most-successful and freedom-rich democratic republic in the world – we deserve who we elect into office.”

If we, as the American people, are stupid enough to elect such a politically incompetant fruitcake as Nancy Pelosi…we get what we deserve.  It’s just a shame that many hard working honest Americans and Colombians have to suffer on behalf of her own personal self interests and leftist agenda.
